DESCRIPTION:In anticipation of the holiday season we’re opening the vault and digging into vintage barrel-aged beers with Joe Connolly\, head of Springdale Beer Company. For the past three years they’ve been carefully blending some of the best barrel-aged beer on the market\, including one of Wine Enthusiast’s top beers of the year\, “Friends in Merlot Places.” We’ll be opening bottles\, learning about barrel-aging and cellaring beer\, and digging into a new\, otherwise brewery-only release\, “Gilded & Aged” – a magnum only\, Champagne-yeast-finished beer inspired by a trip to Champagne houses in Reims.
